NEW YORK EMPLOYERS MUST GIVE TERMINATED EMPLOYEES A “FIVE-DAY LETTER”

New York State has long required employers to provide written notice to employees who leave the company – regardless of the reason. When an employee leaves your company, you have 5 days to provide a letter which states the exact date the employee left and the exact date each of their employee benefits terminated or will terminate. Brody and Associates gives an outline of exactly what your company needs to do for these requirements to be met.
